I also remember a ceremony with tea lights on the Ganges. Very surreal experience with some time spent in Mumbai and the Golden Triangle, Varanasi was my favorite and felt the most authentic. It is also known as the city of Shiva, and you can find small temples all over the city, so it’s worth getting lost and exploring. Travel. Personally, Genoa is overall one of my favorite cities in Italy, perhaps even Europe, though for what it's worth my preferences may be slightly different from yours. Genoa's appeal for me lies in the type of character it exudes. Relatively speaking, there are fewer tourist attractions than in established locales like Florence or Rome I suspect, but do not know, that there are very few Prague folks in Brno. (I know lots of people from other towns in Bohemia in Brno, BTW. That's totally a thing. My guess is that folk come from a small town, where everyone's sick of the constant hype over Prague, so go to the 2nd city.) If you're a foreigner, it may well be entirely worth it. If you have a chance to visit 'the office' that's my favorite old time spot down town. Saturdays it has great music, good cocktails and food. 11th st station has the best food and most variety. Animas Chocolates, so good. Trails are a bit muddy so I wouldn't recommend that, you wouldn't want to rut things out. Brno has plenty of culture, but it really comes down to what you like - is it clubbing? Big celebrity concerts? Indie music? Dive bar punk? Car absolutely isn't a necessity. Given the current (and near future) state of Brno I'd say it's actually a liability. 5 - the museums are better than some of the posters have said. They are not the Victoria and Albert, or the Louvre but they are worth spending a day at. When I was at the London Museum book shop the book on European armor had photos of the Cleveland armor court, due to some of the pieces there. 5 - music venues downtown are limited. This makes me doubt the decision, as I can study for free in Scandinavia, Germany and Austria for a similar outcome (the fees are however very manageable). The general cost of living is on the other hand lower in Brno than at home, which would offset some of the additional study costs. Respect that. Do not attempt to touch exhibits. Do not leave designated areas in archaeological sites. Do not take 'souvenirs'. Do not attempt to climb any ruins for photo ops. Do not visit sites drunk or hungover. Do not make jokes about selling antiquities or about antiquities stolen by foreign countries. PrQ7Tw.
